THE WORD FOR TODAY
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 20TH, 2020.
2 PETER 1:8-9; 8 For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 But he that lacketh these things is blind, and cannot see afar off, and hath forgotten that he was purged from his old sins.
Today we have the benefit of knowing and holding on to your true identity in Christ, with a transformed mind. You will refuse to accept the tag people try to hang around your neck. Your mind is transformed, you begin to live the life that God intended for you. A transformed mind sheds off the negativity of people’s opinions, false identities and self-limiting beliefs that have been accepted for a long time. These seemingly innocent identities have a long way of destroying your future. The destruction they cause is beyond measure and hardly noticeable because it is a silent way the devil destroys people without much notice.
Once your mind is transformed, you are able to put on your new identity which helps you move about in confidence to achieve that which you are supposed to achieve in life. The limitations of the opinions of others no longer hold you back. Your imprisonment by those identities are broken. You are set free to become who you have always wanted to be and who God intended you to be. Beloved, there are many people in prisons of identities, which others have put on them. There are others who have also been imprisoned by their own opinions of who they are. If you have never been in such a place, you would not know how painful and difficult it is to be imprisoned or limited by a false identity. When you are called a fearful loser, you may never be able to take off such an identity and it will affect how you think and act till you leave the earth. You may never attempt any great thing because of that tag.
You must know who you are in God, this will enable you to do great things in the kingdom. To God, you are a king, you are a priest, you are the light of your generation. You are the one to make impossibilities possible. A transformed mind deals with all negative identities and gives you the freedom of expression to be all you have to be. You can be who God says you are with a transformed mind. It is so possible. It is time to let go of what others have said about you and listen to what God is saying. Their words have been barriers in your life for far too long. It is the season to break the limitations and accept who God says you are. Sit down, take stock, and decide to pursue a transformed mind so that the limitations in your life can finally depart.
PRAYER
I pray oh Lord, that you deliver me from every Satanic tag and the prison of people’s opinion. I declare that I am who you created me to be in Jesus’ name AMEN!!!
