CORONAVIRUS: YOUR SPIRIT CAN HEAL YOU – REV. BERNARD MENSA ADAMS

Man on his own cannot achieve anything except through God. The very existence of man is determined by the spirit of God that dwells in him. Rev. Dr. Bernard Mensa Adams says that “man is first a spirit. The spirit is what gives life. The spirit is what gives energy. The spirit is what makes that person a living being.” He says, every man was molded from clay and needs the body to be able to manifest God’s glory on earth. But the real man is the spirit of God which dwells in the clay and not the clay.

In view of the COVID-19 pandemic, as humans we may have Coronavirus yet man is separated from the disease. He says, “I may not have a child but I am not barren. I may have some sicknesses in my body but I am not the sickness. Coronavirus may have affected my body but I am not Coronavirus.” He entreats everyone to be strong in Christ and focus on pleasing God because “whatever happens to your body does not affect your spirit.” Your body might be sick but make sure you protect your soul. “Diabetes is not in your spirit. High blood pressure is not in your spirit. Coronavirus may have affected your body but it is not in your spirit. Your spirit, which is the real you is still strong, active, powerful and dynamic in the eyes of God and within you. Though you may have some weaknesses in your body, it does not affect the real you. The bible says, let the weak say, I am strong.”

The strong spirit of a man sustains him in bodily pain or trouble, but a weak and broken spirit who can raise up or bear? Proverbs 18 vs 14

“When we confess faith we are not telling lies, we are confessing what is actually within us.”

He encourages everyone to listen to the inner-voice, which orders our steps and speaks to us whenever we are about to go wrong.

“You may be on your sick bed right now, there might be somethings wrong with you, you may be going through some health challenges, but I came to announce to you that your spirit man is not sick. Your spirit man is still strong and powerful so look at your spirit man and confess it and superimpose the strength of who you are over your body. Whatever affects your spirit does not affect your body. It is your spirit that gives life to your soul.”

After the Coronavirus phase passes over us, our spirit will rejoice to the Lord because His grace is sufficient for us. He encourages every believer to look unto God to strengthen our inner man.
