Less than two months after winning the Artiste of the year at Ghana Music Awards 2021, Diana Hamilton has added another feather to her cap. On the 21st of August, she was announced as the Artiste of the year at Ghana Music Awards-USA 2021.
At the event, which held at Atlantic City, New Jersey, USA, Diana Hamilton beat seven renowned highlife and hiplife including Sarkodie and Stonebwoy to clinch the award. She also won the Gospel Artiste of the year and gospel song of the year.
Other gospel artistes that exceled at the event include Gospel Act Millicent Yankey who won US-based Music Video of the year and US-based Female Artiste of the year awards. MOGmusic won Male Vocalist of the year award and Celestine Donkor won female vocalist of the year award. Herty Corgie went home with the US-based Gospel Artiste of the year and US-based female vocalist of the year awards.
In recent times, Ghanaian Gospel Acts have risen to the challenge and are making a mark in the music industry, giving secular artistes a run for their money. Four years ago, Joe Mettle won the Artiste of the year awards at Ghana Music Awards.
