HOW TO IDENTIFY STRONGHOLDS IN YOUR LIFE – BISHOP OPPONG ADU-GYAMFI

THE WORD FOR TODAY
TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 29TH, 2020.

MARK 9:29-23; 20 And they brought him unto him: and when he saw him, straightway the spirit tare him; and he fell on the ground, and wallowed foaming. 21 And he asked his father, How long is it ago since this came unto him? And he said, Of a child. 22 And ofttimes it hath cast him into the fire, and into the waters, to destroy him: but if thou canst do any thing, have compassion on us, and help us. 23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

There are a few cues that can help you know if there are strongholds operating in your life. Once they are identified, you can deal with them. If unchecked, these strongholds have the potential to cause chaos and destruction in your life. The way they operate is such that you may not even know they exist, yet they are the very foundation of your troubles. Some of the signs that will help you to identify the presence of strongholds are: Repetitive behaviour. If there is a behavior that keeps repeating itself that you do not like, it is likely a stronghold controlling that behavior.

Negative behaviours do not just spring up from nowhere, it is likely there are certain thinking patterns that cause you to act in those ways. Until these patterns are identified and dealt with, these strongholds will remain and in effect the negative behaviors they cause too will remain. That is why repetitive negative behaviors and actions can be used to identify the presence of a stronghold. Our anchor passage deals with a man who brought his son who was suffering from epilepsy to Jesus. This sickness has been with the young man from his infancy. The frequency of this sickness has convinced the man that the child is destined to suffer from that sickness. He even questioned the ability of Christ to heal the child, Jesus said all things are possible to those who believe.

Any negative thing attached to you and continually manifesting in you becomes a stronghold. Be it lying, stealing, stinginess or immorality that keeps repeating itself in your life, there is likely a thought pattern fostering these negative behaviours in your life. When these thought patterns are identified and dealt with, the negative behaviours will disappear. Check your belief system and you will know the dominant character, which is also your stronghold

PRAYER:

I break loose from every Satanic stronghold in my life. My mind is completely liberated from the influence of every stronghold in Jesus’ name ANEN !!!!!
