MARRIAGE – TURN YOUR MARRIAGE INTO A GARDEN Pt 9

THE ART OF CREATION, PROCREATION AND RECREATION.

Couples must explore and exploit their creation mandate for a blissful home and a refreshing marital relationship. Every hidden natural resource must be explored and exploited for it to be beneficial to mankind. Similarly, marriage is God’s divine resource or institution which must be explored and exploited. Now hear this: there is crude oil in your marriage. There are diamond and gold in your marriage. There are cattle, lion and lamb in your marriage. There are palm trees and cedar in your marriage. Until you explore to discover, you cannot draw them out for the benefit of the marriage and your destiny.

It is easy to say that your husband or wife is “good for nothing.” How terribly wrong you are. Do not devalue God’s creation by your ignorance and lack of understanding. Let me say this to someone here: No God’s creation is good for nothing. Every God’s creation is loaded with unprocessed natural resources. It’s your duty to explore, exploit, produce and refine them for your use and benefit. Your spouse is a generational blessing. Say it after me: “My spouse is a generational blessing.”

I dare say that if you investigate every case of divorce, you will discover a failure of the co-creation mandate in at least ninety percent of them. Your tongue is a vital tool or implement in marriage. When I was young, I wondered deeply what couples would be discussing all the days of their lives. Now I know that the tongue must work to keep the marriage alive. Your tongue can mend a broken home or set a pleasant home on fire.

James 3:5
“Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!”

A wife told the husband on the first night of post wedding that she regretted marrying him. That virus ate up the marriage gradually until the marriage died after just three years. Your tongue can bring healing to souls and can activate or aggravate hypertension (high blood pressure). The tongue has a soothing balm and a destructive poison in it. When your tongue produces gracious words, healing flows but hurts are nourished by unguarded and toxic words.

James 3:8, 10
”But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 10 Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.”

Friends, if you want to enjoy your marital relationship and see good days, take charge of your tongue. Do not misuse it for evil rather use it to create your blissful world.

1 Peter 3:10
“For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile:”

I charge you to nourish your marriage with your tongue. Don’t be too spiritual to tell your spouse that you love him or her even if your marriage is 5, 15, 25, 35 or 55 years old. Start now. Put a call through if you are not together right now. May the power of creation be unleashed upon your marriage from this day henceforth in Jesus name.

See you on the blissful side of marriage.
