RESULTS OF GHANA POPULATION CENSUS INDICATES THAT CHURCH OF PENTECOST HAS 10% OF COUNTRY’S POPULATION AS MEMBERS

-Ghana

The outcome of the Ghana 2021 population and housing census, which held in July indicates that Church of Pentecost, Ghana has a total of 3,196,615 members.

With the new population figures marked at 30,792,608 persons, Church of Pentecost makes up 10.38% of Ghana‘s current population, which means, 1 in every 10 Ghanaian is a member of the Church of Pentecost

This information, which was published via an infograph on Church of Pentecost social media pages is an extract of the church’s mid-year report.

In a post, which read, “with our numbers, the Church of Pentecost is strategically positioned to possess the nations! #possessingthenations,” the leadership announced the outcome of the census.

Considering the headline of the post, the church leadership is poised to take advantage of the data, though it is yet unclear whether it will be a political or spiritual move.

Since the post however, some people have called on the church to start up a political party with the aim of positioning a Christian leader who will lead Ghana and its people righteously without corruption.

It will be recalled that before the pronouncement of the results of the population and housing census, the Church of Pentecost has been involved in nation building. In June, the church handed over a newly built prison at Ejura to the Ghana Prison Service.
