As faith-based movies continue to be profitable, Sony Pictures has made a move to acquire Pure Flix streaming service. In a statement issued on 12 November, Sony Pictures announced it was about to acquire Pure Flix, a family-focused, faith-based streaming network.

The acquisition means that Pure Flix will become a part of Affirm Entertainment, the faith-based subsidiary of Sony pictures, producers of successful Christian editions like War Room, Miracles from Heaven and Overcomer.

Sony’s president of networks and distribution, Keith Le Goyin in a statement says, “Pure Flix is a natural fit with our Affirm brand, which is known for its high quality, uplifting, inspirational content,”

“Pure Flix has done an amazing job building a robust community of engaged subscribers, and we look forward to continuing to grow and delight audiences with well-curated faith and family entertainment.”
