YABATECH INAUGURATES NEW EXECUTIVES FOR THE JOINT CHRISTIAN BODY

The Joint Christian Management Committee of Yaba College of Technology has ordained new executives to manage religious activities on campus. The role of the executives is to coordinate religious assignments and carry out administrative works.

The inauguration took place on Sunday 31 October at the College Chapel on Campus. During the service, Head of Metallurgical Department and the Chaplain of the College, Very Rev. Dr. Olumuyiwa Awe encouraged the new Executives to be steadfast in their service to God and man. He asked them to be upright and selfless.

20 Stewards were inaugurated based on God’s directives and their commitment to the works of God on campus.

The new Executive showed their gratitude to God, staff, and students as they were given opportunity to be leaders and agents of change.

Speaking after their inauguration, the Senior Chapel Steward Bro. Olaitan Victor expressed his excitement over the privilege to serve God in his youth on campus. He made a promise that the new Executive would live an exemplary life in service to man and God.

He said, “we have been raised as a leaders and we will raise leaders also and not followers.”

The event was witnessed by senior staff, non-teaching staff and students of the college.

The Joint Christian Management Committee is a supervisory body for Christian activities on campus. It is a non-denominational committee charged with the responsibility of providing Pastoral care for students of the college.

The inauguration took place during the communion and Sunday thanksgiving service, for students celebrating a milestone (birthday, etc.) in the month of October.

Following the inauguration, all Christian services on campus will now be coordinated by the new Senior Chapel Steward, Bro Olaitan Victor.
